Devtober Post Mortem Dev Log


Hi everyone, 

Here's a short and simple post mortem for the Devtober jam. I started work on the project in UE5 at the start of the month. I sourced initial assets and such from the UE marketplace and then heavily modified almost every element as needed during development. I spent somewhere between 60-70 hours working on this demo. Things that did not make the cut include loot tool tips, more points of interest in the open world, and performance tweaks. UE5 is awesome but older graphics cards struggle with it. I really pushed myself to design holistically around the central tenants of combat, exploration, and atmosphere. I think those goals were achieved. I hope y'all enjoy it and I look forward to dipping back into the nuts and bolts of this prototype in the future with other thematic elements!
